Sandy YuShan Chang
Taiwanese-born Sandy Chang,
the founder and director of
Bravo Music Studio,
is a talented flutist and pianist
with more than 25 years of performance
experience and 18 years of teaching experience.
She has performed in masterclasses and
festivals with the renowned flutists
William Bennett, Emmanuel Pahud, and
Goran Marcusson. During 2015-2020, Sandy
performs in New York for musical shows,
ballet shows, jazz and classical music
with South Shore Symphony,
Island Symphony Orchestra,
North Shore Pops Concert Band,
Band of Long Island, and in the
Northport Community Theatre.
Sandy holds a Master of Music degree in performance
and a Bachelor of Music Education from
National Taipei University of Education. In 2009,
She gained permanent 1-12 music teacher
certificate in Taiwan. Now, she is a certified K-12
music teacher in both New York State and Massachusetts.

Sandy has a solid track record of teaching piano, flute, and recorder individually and also in the ensembles/band settings in public/private schools for more than 15 years. Her students
have passed the ABRSM and NYSSMA exams and many of them have gone on to win awards in music competitions and enroll in music colleges. Most importantly, they all enjoy making music!
Sandy moved to the U.S. with her family in 2015 when her husband who is a scientist joined Cold Spring Harbor Lab (NY). Her eight-year-old daughter, Sophie is learning piano, flute, drum, sining, ukulele, and loves music! Sandy had taught piano and flute at the Music Academy of Long Island in Commack, the Herald Music School in Flushing, the Muse Music School in Glen Cove, and the Montessori school in Brooklyn before establishing the Bravo Music Studio in 2017 in New York.
In 2020 (Feb.), Bravo Music Studio had moved to Wayland, Massachusettes. She hopes to keep providing music education and music performance to local families and friends and hosting many music activities, such as concerts, children's bands, music festivals, etc. in neighboring areas in the near future.
